EDUCATION MENU
Art has become entirely too precious, and honestly, way too gatekept.
We’re surrounded by unlimited information every single day, yet the minute you actually want to learn the practical stuff, you run into paywalls, pretentious jargon, and this unspoken rule that you need someone’s permission to call yourself an artist. It tricks people into overthinking every stroke, waiting for the "perfect time," or convincing themselves they can't make real work without spending a small fortune on elite gear.
I started Only Ever Abandoned to hopefully shift that mindset.
You don’t need an art degree (well in some cases you would, but to start a hobby you don't), a sterile studio, or flawless technique. You just need to show up and start making things. The real progress doesn’t happen in theoretical perfection, it happens when you commit, embrace the mess, and push through the ugly stages.
These resources exist to give you the honest, raw fundamentals without the gatekeeping bullshit or the fluff.
I hope to add more education pages to this pretty consistently, so keep an eye out.
